Levorne “Lee” Tyler, age 64 of Boston, MA was called home to our Lord on Thursday, May 17th 2018 after a brief illness surrounded by loved ones. Loving father of three sons: Levorne Tyler Jr., Preston Tyler and Tyree Tyler and also three grandchildren: Tavonjah Warner-Tyler, Preston Tyler, Jr. and Sa’Pria Tyler. Levorne was married to Shirley (Daniels) (predeceased) and was the loving father of two sons: Levorne Tyler Jr. and Preston Tyler. He was later blessed with another son Tyree Tyler with his union with Karen Bundley (predeceased). A proud grandfather of three grandchildren: Tavonjah Warner-Tyler, Preston Tyler Jr., and Sa’Pria Tyler. Born in Louisville KY, on October 16, 1953, Levorne was the eighth child of 17 siblings. His father Odell Tyler (predeceased) worked at Koppers Company while his mother Ruth Mae Tyler (predeceased) was a homemaker. In 1954, the Tyler family settled in Boston Mass where Levorne attended Boston public schools. He worked at the Boston Naval Shipyard in Charlestown Mass and also at the shipyard at General Dynamics. “He enjoyed fishing. Singing and dancing to soul music was his favorite past time. Every time a tune came over the radio whether in a car or the house he would sing the lyrics. He knew every word”. (Haywood Tyler). Levorne is survived by his following siblings: Avent Williams (predeceased), Haywood Tyler, Emma Williams (predeceased), Geneva Fulse (predeceased), Vernon Tyler, Roger Tyler, Delores Tyler, Odell Tyler Jr., Shirley Tyler, Carol Crowley, Jimmy Tyler, Bobby Tyler, James Tyler, Donnie Tyler, Ronnie Tyler and Dickie Tyler. Sisters-in-Law, Brothers-in-Law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and especially his best friend Mack Johnson and the Johnson family. He was loved and will be missed dearly by all.
