Wilson, Evelyn (Brown) of Boston, July 2, 2018. Wife of the late James E. Wilson. Beloved mother of Shirley A. Smith-Downie and her husband Norbert of Edison, NJ, Anthony Wilson of Norwood and the late Freddie and Alonza Wilson. Dear sister of Daniel Brown and Eva P. Jordan both of Glenville, GA and Bettye Davis of Statesboro , GA, and dear cousin Queenie Williams of Boston. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, extended family and dear friends. Funeral service Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11 AM at Twelfth Baptist Church, 160 Warren St., Roxbury. Visiting with the family at church at 10 AM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In the spirit of celebration, guests are encouraged to wear bright colored clothing. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to Shawmut Community Church of God, 600 Shawmut Ave., Roxbury 02119.
