Carmelda U. Green was born on February 13, 1925 in Banes, Cuba.
As a teenager Carmelda left Cuba for Jamaica, then in 1959 she came to Boston, MA. Later in life Carmelda resided in Eulonia, GA, before settling as a long-time resident in Needham, MA. Carmelda spent her last 10 years living comfortably at the VNA Assisted Living Center, in Somerville, MA.
Beloved for her upbeat attitude, high energy, and infectious smile, Ms. Green easily became a fixture and known member of the many communities, groups, and clubs of which she was an active member.
Carmelda passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 1, 2019. She is survived by her brother Roy, sister Ruth, her children Juana (in memoriam), Antonio, Nathan Jr., and Roy; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and close family & friends.
