Sharon Denise Arnold, born on July 05, 1952, passed away on March 07, 2024, surrounded by those who genuinely loved and cared for her. Sharon was the daughter of the late Earl Wright and Nellie Ruth (Edwards) Murchison, of Boston, MA. Sharon was preceded in death by La Tanya M. Arnold, (daughter), Nellie Ruth Murchison (mother), Earl Wright (father), Hattie Mae Edwards (grandmother), Brenda McGee (sister), Kenny Edwards & Anthony Murchison (brothers)
She was a cherished member of our family and touched the lives of all who knew her. Sharon met Donald Arnold in 1971 and eventually married and became the parents of two daughters. They shared an inseparable bond. Sharon worked at Philips as a Production Technician where she retired in 2011 due to a stroke. She was very creative and loved working with her hands. She used her skills to start making diaper cakes for family and friends. She was also known for her famous sweet & sour meatballs with her secret sauce.
Sharon was also known for her vibrant personality, quick wit, dedicated work ethic, and infectious laughter. She was fiercely independent and unapologetically herself. Her wit and sharp intellect were undeniable, and those who took the time to understand her, found a person of depth and complexity. Her presence lit up rooms. Family meant everything to Sharon. She was a devoted mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, granddaughter, wife, and friend. Her love knew no bounds, and she showered us with unwavering love and affection.
Sharon’s love extended to her daughter Na Tasha M. Arnold and step-children Sean Funderburg and Taraza Funderburg plus her forever daughter-in-law Tracy Wiggins-Funderburg and her
beloved grandchildren Donovan Arnold Edwards, Toka (Sean) Ellis, Jerry Anderson, Kenny Wiggins-Funderburg, Shawn Wiggins-Funderburg, Nijah Howard and great grandchildren Tejahn Harrison, Savannah & Bella Royes, Kai Anderson and a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends.
She is survived by her twin sister Cheryl Harris, Donna Edwards-Dixon, Aaron Murchison and Gail (Jerry) Randle, Pamela (Cornell) Gilliam.
May she find peace in the arms of eternity, free from the burdens carried by life.
Her Journey’s Just Begun
Don’t think of her as gone away,
her journey’s just begun,
Life holds so many facets,
this earth is only one,
Just think of her as resting,
from the sorrows and the tears,
In a place of warmth and comfort,
where there are no days or years,
Think how she must be wishing,
that we could know today,
How nothing but our sadness,
can really pass away,
And think of her as living,
in the hearts of those she touched,
For nothing loved is ever lost,
and she was loved so much
