Lois Elam Obituary

March 13,2024 God called Lois Elam home.

Lois Elam was born in Augusta, GA on March 12, 1946, to the late George and Geneva White. At an early age she accepted Jesus as her savior at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was also baptized by Rev H.W Phinizy. As a member of the church she participated in the choir. She graduated from Lucy C. Laney High school with the class of 1964.

After completing high school, she moved to Massachusetts where she married Robert Elam, and they started their own family. From their union came two children, Anthony Fitzgerald Elam (preceded in death) and Terence Elam.

Lois worked several years at Polaroid and went on to retire. During her time there Lois met a host of friends who would later be called her family. After retiring from Polaroid, she spent her time enjoying her friends and taking care of her grand kids,

After retirement her home state was calling her back. Lois and her husband moved back and got settled. Lois could be found doing a host of errands including going to Sams club, Marshalls, and Kroeger. Lois also enjoyed gardening, visiting her great-grands, and maintaining her home.

Lois leaves memories to be cherished by her husband Robert L Elam of Appling, GA; Son Terence Elam of Massachusetts. Granddaughters Felicia Elam (Elmore Bryant) of North Carolina, Antonia Elam of North Carolina Kamille Elam of Massachusetts Andraya Elam of Massachusetts and two grandsons Andrew Elam of Massachusetts and Gerard Moore of Massachusetts.
