Jordan Wilkerson

Jordan Wilkerson, age 93 of Hyde Park, MA, passed away, Saturday, August 30, 2014. He was born November 7, 1920 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Eva and Samuel Wilkerson. He joined the United States Navy after he graduated high school. He served during World War II in the United States Navy, November 5, 1938 to December 1, 1968 receiving several awards: Asiatic Pacific Medal, American Area Medal, African European 1 Star, American Defense Medal A Star, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church, Boston, MA since 1968. He retired from the Federal Reserve Bank after 18 years of service. He was active in the community and civic activities and joined Prince Hall Masonic Temple and became a Worshipful Master of Eureka Lodge, No.8 from 1984-85, and was a current and active member. He enjoyed listening to religious and classical music, singing and cooking. He leaves to celebrate his life, his devoted wife, Carol Wilkerson and five children: Johnny, Patricia, Angela, Anastasie and Zina; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one godchild.
