Edward Theodore Gooding "Sarge" of Roxbury, August 30, 2014. Faithful Sgt. Major of the Roxbury Salvation Army for over 56 years. Beloved husband of Catalina Gooding of Roxbury. Dear father of Antonio Gooding and his wife Julie of Westerly, RI. Grandfather of Shann M., Shawn M. and Donna J. Gooding all of Westerly, RI. He leaves 6 great-grandchildren, extended family and a host of friends. Funeral service Saturday at 11 AM at the Salvation Army Boston Kroc Corps, 650 Dudley St., Dorchester 02125. Visiting with the family at church at 9 AM. Burial Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain. In lieu of flowers make donations in Sarge's memory to the Kroc Center.
