Carla Mack-Young Obituary
Carla Mack-Young 83 of Mattapan, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2016. Carla was born in Huntington, West Virginia on March 10, 1933 to the late Mattie Robinson and Carter Tubbs.
She graduated from Laboure College in Quincy, MA. Carla worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years at Youville Hospital in Cambridge, MA. Upon retiring she resided peacefully in Mattapan, MA. Carla's house was always the place to go for holidays, celebrations and especially her cooking. She was the rock of our family and will be truly missed.
She is preceded in death by her two sons Kirk and Daniel Gillenwater as well as her siblings JC, Carvela, Vivian, Helen, Eleanor and Phyllis
She leaves to cherish her memories husband Curtis Young, two daughters Dyan and Denise, two sons Charles (Darrel) and Carter Gillenwater as well as her step daughters Lawonda, Nannette and Tisha Young and step son Darrell Young. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren as well as great- great grandchildren nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
